With the wind in my hair...

I've thrown off the shackles of domestic life temporarily and escaped to the local coffee shop for 2 hours. Jessica, our trustworthy babysitter is in charge and I am sitting at Port City Java with a grande decaf latte in hand.

You've been waiting for this right? The update on New York. The weekend that felt like a dream and yet there is evidence that we were actually there.

I've been in a low since getting back. Truly I went from top of the world (on the Empire State Building this is almost literal) to back in the kitchen scraping breakfast oatmeal off the floor and wishing I had ear plugs to keep out the squealing (from the kids that is). It took me four days to get back into the swing of things. But now I'm back to some form of normal and I'm ready to resume my domestic CEO duties.

I'm also about to blog so look out for the new entry tomorrow (hopefully)

Sounds like a good way to recover a bit (I'm partial to a decaf latte myself these days).

That's a tough contrast to have to reconcile (reminds me of going from Tetsuya's to taking the bins out): hope you're feeling back on top of things again soon!
