It's Christmas time!!

It is the most wonderful time of year!

On the weekend we bought a 10 foot Fraser fir tree from a local NC farmer. We hung our ornaments on the tree, decorated the house and drank Williams Sonoma Peppermint Hot Chocolate (look closely at Lucy's mouth!) The Christmas cards are ready to mail and the music playing in the house has a Christmas theme.

Each morning we will be opening the advent calendar and putting a piece on the Nativity scene. Each dinner we will be reading a devotion and putting an ornament on our Jesse tree. Stay tuned for more Christmas happenings.

hey wow - your tree is about 6 times bigger than ours! and i bet it smells awesome...
the Jesse tree sounds like a great way to keep things in perspective over the festive season.
looks like Lucy enjoyed her hot chocolate!

Wow. You're doing so many of the things I had every intention of doing, and never quite got there... (cards still sitting unwritten)
Would love to see a photo of your Jesse Tree, and how you made the ornaments - I presume the differing objects might be easier to find in the US than here?
Also loving the nativity advent calendar - the ones here are so dodgy!
